Unwins Aster Rudolph Goethe Seeds, also known as Michaelmas daisies, produce beautiful, long-lasting violet-blue flowers. Borne of plants with an upright habit, these will make a fantastic addition to your garden borders. Ideal for cutting, these will also create impressive bouquets for your home.

With the bonus of being mildew-resistant, this perennial aster will return to your garden year after year for a summer full of blooms.

Sow: February to April
Flowering: July to October

Sowing Indoors:
Sow on the surface of pre-watered seed compost in pots or trays, lightly pressing seeds into the surface. Place in a propagator or bag at around 20°C in shade and allow 2 weeks for germination. Remove lid or bag and keep in cooler, brighter conditions after germination.

Growing On:
Transplant when seedlings are large enough to handle. Grow on in a sheltered spot outdoors, such as a cold frame or unheated greenhouse.

Planting Out:
Plant out in full sun in well-drained soil and water in well.

Aftercare:
Cut back after flowering, once foliage is dying back. Divide established clumps every 2–3 years for best performance.
