Unwins Aubergine Ivory F1 Seeds produce small, oval, creamy-white fruits on a compact plant. Ideal for containers due to the smaller size of this plants. The aubergine fruits hold well on the plants due to their smaller size, making this a great plant to try on a balcony or in a patio garden.

Enjoy these aubergines roasted, grilled or steamed. Add them to sauces or as a side dish for an interesting addition to your plate.

This heavy-cropping variety is rich in minerals and antioxidants. Sow early in the year from February and harvest in late summer.

Sowing Indoors
Level-fill a module tray with seed compost, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and cover with a 1 cm layer of fine compost. Place in a propagator at 18–25 °C or cover tray with cling film and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.

Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant into 8 cm pots of potting compost. Grow on at a minimum temperature of 15 °C.

Planting Out
Plant into the greenhouse border, grow bags, or 30 cm diameter containers on a sunny patio when first flowers have opened. Water and feed well to promote fruiting.

Aftercare
Water regularly and feed with liquid tomato fertiliser when the fruits begin to swell.
