Features
Bright and cheery flowers, perfect for attracting pollinators to the garden. A cottage garden favourite with a single-flowered mix.

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 10–15 °C, and keep moist.

Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position but shaded from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant individually to 8 cm pots of potting compost.

Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out in full sun from early summer onwards. Allow 30 cm between plants.

Advice
Seed can also be sown in late summer for an earlier display the following season. Keep them in a frost-free place over winter before planting out when the risk of frost has passed.
