Unwins Larkspur - Unwins Special Mix Seeds are a cottage garden favourite that's also great for cutting.
Specially blended to include a smoky grey and a pale blue picotee in addition to the usual larkspur colour, we believe our Choice Blend to be the very best mixture available.

Features
Complementary mix of soft shades, ideal for sunny borders and for the vase. A cottage garden favourite, great for cutting.
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover with a little more compost. Place in warmth, 10–15 °C, and keep moist.
Growing On
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings 5 cm apart into trays of potting compost. Gradually accustom them to conditions outside for 2–3 weeks before planting out to their cropping positions, 25 cm apart during summer.
Sowing Outdoors
Rake soil to provide a firm, even surface. Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered soil, lightly covering with a little more soil. Keep moist until seedlings appear and water as required in dry spells. When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to allow their development.
Advice
Spring sowings will bloom later the same year; autumn sowings will bloom earlier the following year, but will need some fleece protection from hard frosts.
