Unwins Leek Musselburgh Seeds are a proven performer, producing delicious heavy-cropping leeks. Sow outdoors from March to May and harvest November to February.

Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly into pre-watered seed trays about 1 cm deep. Place in a warm environment (10–15 °C) and keep moist at all times.

Planting Out
When seedlings reach 20 cm tall, plant into holes 15 cm deep, then fill with water. Space plants 20 cm apart in rows 30 cm apart.

Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly into pre-watered soil about 1 cm deep in rows 30 cm apart in a seedbed. Keep soil moist and thin seedlings to 20 cm apart.

Aftercare
To ensure long white stems, draw up soil around plants as they develop. Keep well watered and feed regularly.
