Unwins Chilli Pepper Bhut Jolokia Seeds produce extremely hot fruits being one of the hottest chilli peppers in the world. Also known as 'Ghost' Chilli with its fiery taste of smoked citrus flavour. When planting out these seeds are perfect to pot up in pots and containers.
Pick fruits when they are orange-red and use sparingly in recipes as they are rated at around 1 million SHUs. It is advised to wear hand and eye protection when handling these chillies.

Sowing Indoors
Level fill a module seed tray, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and cover with a thin layer of fine compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18–25 °C or cover the tray with cling film and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.
Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When plants have 4–6 leaves, transplant to 8 cm pots of potting compost. Grow on at a minimum temperature of 15 °C. Pinch the growing tip to encourage bushy growth.
Planting Out
Plant out into 25 cm containers once roots are beginning to come through the bottom of the 8 cm pot. Keep indoors in a greenhouse, on a light windowsill, or in a sunny, sheltered patio spot. Stems may require some support.
AftercareWater regularly and feed weekly with a liquid tomato fertiliser as fruits start to swell.
