These semi and fully double blooms have a mix of solid colours, bi-colours, veined and striped types, guaranteed to brighten patio pots or sunny borders throughout summer. Duo Mixed looks great even in late season, when some petunias have become stretched.

Sow Indoors: Feb to Apr
Sow Outdoors: May to Sep
Sowing
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, but do not cover them with compost. Place in warmth, 18–25°C, and keep moist. Dry conditions will prevent the seeds from germinating.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant individually into 8 cm pots of potting compost.
Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 30 cm between plants if planting into the garden. Container plantings can be much closer together. Water well in dry weather and feed plants regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
Advice
This seed is tiny and needs handling with care to avoid crushing. For extra protection and ease of sowing, it is pelleted and filled into a fine seed sower.
