- Nutrient-rich
- Crunchy and fresh
Sow: March to August
Harvest: May to September
Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly 1 cm deep in trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost and cover lightly if desired. Place in a warm spot at 10–15 °C and keep moist at all times.
Planting Out / Sowing Outdoors
After the risk of frost has passed and seedlings are large enough to handle, plant into the harvest position 10 cm apart, with 30 cm between rows. Alternatively, sow thinly 1 cm deep directly in the harvest location, keeping soil moist and thinning as necessary to about 10 cm apart.
Advice
Keep well watered. Small sowings every 3 weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Use netting to protect from birds and insects. This mix contains rocket, Greek cress, mibuna, red and green leaf mustard, and coriander, producing a crisp green salad with a delightful combination of complementary flavours.
