You can harvest these small, teardrop-shaped leaves all-year round, making the perfect addition to your delicious salads.

Sow: March to October
Harvest: January to December
Quick to Grow

Sowing Indoors
Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Place in warmth (10–15 °C) and keep moist at all times.

Planting Out
After the risk of frost has passed, transplant seedlings with 3–4 true leaves into the required harvest position, spacing 25 cm apart with 30 cm between rows.

Sowing Outdoors
Sow thinly, 1 cm deep, directly in the harvest location. Keep soil moist and thin to 25 cm apart.

Advice
Keep well watered. Make small sowings every 3 weeks for a continuous supply. Use netting to protect from birds and insects.
