Unwins Scabious Pincushion Mix Seeds produce a hardy perennial that is great for cutting and attractive to pollinators. 

A traditional garden favourite, this beautiful purple and white mix of scabious will add fantastic colour to your borders from June to September.

Sow Indoors: Feb to Jul
Flowering: Jun to Sep

Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth, 10–15°C, and keep moist. Higher temperatures may inhibit germination.

Growing On
Keep in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost.

Hardening Off / Planting Out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2–3 weeks before planting out when danger of frost has passed. Allow 45cm between plants.

Aftercare
Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.
