Unwins Cherry Tomato Bumble Bee mix Seeds create a vibrant and eye-catching mix of striped cherry tomatoes. Bred for flavour, the fruits are resistant to cracking and rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

Suitable for greenhouse and outdoor growing. This variety will require training with canes.

  • Perfect for pots and containers
Sow: Feb to Apr
Harvest: Jul to Sep

Sowing Indoors
Level-fill a module tray with seed compost and firm gently. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually and lightly cover with vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18–20 °C or cover the tray with cling film and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.

Growing On
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a bright position, shaded from direct sunlight. When plants have 4 leaves, transplant to 8 cm pots of potting compost. Grow coolly at a minimum temperature of 15 °C.

Planting Out
Gradually acclimate plants to outdoor conditions over 2–3 weeks before planting out when temperatures exceed 10 °C. Transfer to large pots (minimum 30 cm), grow bags, or in a border 45 cm apart, either in a greenhouse or a sunny, sheltered spot outside.

Support
Cordon/Indeterminate/Vine type, requires training up canes, strings, or wires. Remove side shoots as they appear.

Advice
Tomatoes are thirsty and hungry plants. Feed and water regularly and ventilate your greenhouse on warm days. Pinch out the growing tip once it reaches the top of the support, allowing a maximum of 6 fruiting trusses.
